金沢市安江町、駅前から入って奥の方にある「謎屋珈琲店」。
2年半前のオープン当初から、金沢、かつ日本ではじめての「ミステリーカフェ」として注目を集めています。
マスターは大学で金沢にやってきて、金沢が好きになり、ここでお店を開くことに決めたそう。
お店の傍らミステリー小説の執筆を続けているということもあり、出されるナゾはどれも本格的です。
Nazoya Café is located near a station in Yasua town of Kanazawa city. Since it was launched 2 years ago, it has been very famous as a “mystery cafe” not only in Kanazawa but also in Japan. The owner came to Kanazawa to study at a university, and liked Kanazawa, then decided to open his café. He also works as a writer of mystery novel, so quizzes he makes are not so easy.

If you order some dishes that include quizzes, you can try them.

問題は全部で20問。正解するたびスタンプが貯まり、全部集めると「名探偵証明書」がもらえます。
You have 20 questions. If you answer correctly, you can get stamps and a “certificate of detective” if you collect 20 stamps.

ナゾはもちろんですが、自家焙煎の珈琲も美味しい。
コンセプトカフェっていろいろありますが、珈琲にここまでこだわっているお店はなかなか見たことがない。
むしろ珈琲がメインで、ナゾ解きはお店を知るきっかけにすぎないのかもしれません。
その証拠に、ナゾ解きとは関係無さそうなお客さんが来ていることが多いんです。
Not only quizzes but also coffee provided here are of high quality. There are many concept café, but I could not find so many café like this. I should say that you should visit this café is of course for coffee the first, and quizzes for the second. In fact, I found some customers were not interested in quizzes.

2階はイベントスペースとしても貸出しているそう。
この日はいま流行りのボードゲーム「カタンの開拓者たち」のゲーム会が行われていましたよ。
そして、謎屋さんは朝は7時、夜は22時まで営業しているというありがたいお店なんです。
出勤前や駅前でのお食事のあと…ふらりと立ち寄って気軽に本格珈琲が楽しめますので、ぜひ足を運んでみては？
You can also book the first floor for some events. When I visited, there was event for a board game of Catan which is recently popular. Nazoya kindly opens at 7 am and closes at 10 pm. How about dropping in to enjoy high-quality coffee before your commute or after you have a dinner near the station?
